Discontinuing eMusic distribution?

I've been subscribing for years with emusic and am noticing you all (and beggars, for that matter) are no longer posting new albums to the site. is it finished? well, if so, it sure was good while it lasted...

well, the new mogwai, guided by voices, pretty girls make graves, dead meadow.
i'm assuming maybe there are licensing issues...
i'll just pick up the vinyl...that's probably what i should be doing anyway. digital music overload...

OK, here's the deal.

EMusic's bosses have laid down strict new rules about obtaining publishing licenses (not that they didn't do so before, but more paperwork is required now) and this is holding up getting a lot of new music up, especially for bands with independent (non-Harry Fox-affiliated) publishers.

Just give them time...
