Radiohead have re-scheduled their show in Toronto that had been postponed due to the blackout. Does anyone know if Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks are still opening this show? I can't seem to find anything about this anywhere!

Thanks...Paul

I just heard it's Kid Koala opening, but haven't seen anything official. I wouldn't be surprised if it's true - Kid Koala opened their show at Molson Park in 2001.

I'm not happy about this - Malkmus was a large part of the reason I decided to pay the exorbitant ticket prices for thie show in the first place, and now I'm seeing an opener I have no interest in at a venue that sucks pretty hard and I even had to pay an extra $15 to fedex my tickets back to WASTE to be exchanged.

I agree, this does really suck. Malkmus was a big part of why I bought tickets as well since I wasn't able to catch his show earlier this year. On top of that it's at the worst venue in the city. I don't think Malkmus has any dates sheduled around this time, so I think the promoters should have done their best to keep the same opener.

What? You FedEx'd your tickets? I have to get a refund so I'm sending mine to the same address but I just sent it by regular mail...

yeah, my tickets came from WASTE so they had to go back to WASTE... in California I think? I dunno - my friend was handling the tickets and decided FedEx was the way to go to get them back in time? I honestly would have preferred to get a refund, but she still wanted to go and I didn't want to stiff her on the tickets. This will be the last Radiohead show I ever go to though, so I'll suck it up one last time.

I bought tix because of Malkmus too, but I have to say that Radiohead put on a pretty awesome concert. Yes it was great to see SM and Jicks, but not a waste of money if you can't. Totally enjoyed Radiohead.

explain?

whats there to explain.

the jicks were part of one leg of the tour, toronto had a blackout, the show was postponed....by the time october 14th comes around the jicks have been off the tour for a while.

kid koala lives in toronto (or montreal) and he opened for radiohead last time they were here. I guess its just convenient, Im going to the show and while I did want to see the Jicks, Kid Koala is pretty fucking good replacement.
