friends:
the article was brought to my attention by the proprietor of a Chicago-based record label who has 'worked' with the boys & considers them 'chums', 'homies'. my acquaintance is usually on-target & has been a reliable source for some years now...mind you, there have been occasions where ive caught him with the shwag. i contacted him last week in hopes of receiving info on (the now defunct?) Wigwam Records--I'll be the first to admit my little bio. knowledge of GBV & its by-products. he replied & attached the above link for shits-n-giggles. the biographical content, a band-apart from the tid-bits available on GBV.com, was in my mind, worthy enough to be shared with the Matador audience. i apologize if any other readers found it offensive.
Mr. Smith:
ive read a handful of your comments on this board. I see little acumen OR vision coming from your side. for future reference, you might want to tone down your comments, offer some insight if you want folk to take you seriously...at times, your brand of sarcasm/constructive criticism doesnt translate well over the Net. besides, this BB is to SHARE info, not to take jabs at sitting targets. apropos your above comment--made in rather snidely fashion--offers not the slightest chunk of evidence to support your theory. sure, it was witty, but wheres the beef? i think we could all benefit if you were to yield the 'FACTUAL' material--where exactly did the article go wrong? please, Mr. Smith, enlighten us. we are an info-sharing league, be a dear & reciprocate the gesture. or just to save face, provide explanation for again making yourself out to be an ass.
thanks,
D.A.R.Y.L.

did I just get heckled?
of the top of my head: they forgot Sprout's song from Propeller (the Vampire on Titus section), Mag Earwhig was released in May, not April, 1997, and Bee Thousand isn't 29 minutes long, or close to that.
and additionally, if you want to tell me how much I suck, it's called "Private Message."

not heckled, Mr. Smith. called out's more like it.
three errors? one of said errors: "Mag Earwhig was released in May, not April." ho.ho.ho. that warrants an attack on a 3000+ word document? weak. you might have too much free time on your hands.
Private Messages: dont get all 'Blossom' on me, Mr. Smith. remember, the episode where Six & Blossom steal Joey's baseball bat, dignity in hopes of finding a date to the prom at the local pizza parlor? and then Dad walks into Chad's room, steals Blos' thunder by proposing to the lady with Jordy accent. aaaahhh, Newcastle. Viz Magazine with Major Misunderstanding & Fat Slags. that crazy Blossom. always a moral to the story. which brings us to ours (below)...
if you're going to act like an anus in public, you'd better prepare to defend your actions. btw, you still havent. hence, the continual airing of dirty laundry.
stay off the street,
D.A.R.Y.L.
