Never heard a note from this band. What say ye? Is the new album worth getting?

they did a split with Songs: Ohia, but I've never even listened to their side. *shrugs* I've heard good things though.

They're good. Not great, just good.

I never realized how hairy they were until I saw them on Conan O'Brien the other night.

i wanted them to win me over, but it seems that the strokes namecheck is as far as they got with me.

they are hairy, but they sound like kingsbury manx. they play barefoot, and they still sound like kingsbury manx. i like kingsbury manx, but my morning jacket were kinda boring.

it's funny that their appearance seems so dislocated from their sound.

I love this band. Get either the new one or "At Dawn", both are excellent.

can't say i see the kingsbury manx connection having seen both bands live and owning records by both bands... in any case, 'at dawn' is a pretty terrific album--laid-back and lazy and full of reverb... i'd start there.

They are certainly not for everyone, but I am really enjoying "It Still Moves". One of the best of the year.

I rate them highly, especially for people who like Neil Young, Flaming Lips, even Wilco fans.

They are sort of sloppy, but that's the charm. Naive, optimistic songs, pretty melodies, but a sad knowingness too. Apparently much more "rock" live than on record.

We could get an Australian only comp here until recently - with tracks from At Dawn and various EPs. About to buy It Still Moves, new record is said to be v. good.
