i think sony japan put out their last album, which never made it to the states. related to matador, jon spencer produced part of the latest LP.

The King Brothers Japanese label Tobshiba put out a great EP called6X3 in 2002. It has production by Jon Spencer and features appearances by Matt Verta-Ray and Ron Ward of Speedball Baby as well as vocals from Charlie Spencer. The vibe is a bit more relaxed and extended than their other two records with a lot of long songs (6 and 7 minute jams that were supposedly edited down from even longer jams.) In a very confusing and Japanese manner there is a big In The Red records logo on the front of the CD. Larry at In The Red said that the Japanese label wanted it there?!?! Last time I heard this stuff was supposed to come out on In The Red w/some more matterial as a full length album. Also, last I heard the King Brothers were still the most insane live band going.
