so cat power is comming to blueberry hill in st. louis
and i am not twenty one, anyone know how to side
step this? i doubt that i'll age three years in a month
so if anyone has any tips or just wants to cry with me or something that would be fine. umm, ok, this had no point except for me to bitch and moan about this unfortunate situation... anyone know a quick cheap way to make a real looking fake? anyone know some secret passage or knocking sequence to get into the duck room? if so, i'm interested.

Dude, there was this really shitty NJ HC band in the mid-'80s that had a song called "Fake ID" ... say no more ...

Well, I'll be there, so if you want to wait outside, I'll stop by after the show and tell you how it was. :)
If you look close to 21, I'd imagine you'll be ok. If they card you just say you didn't know it was a 21+ show, and you already bought the ticket, then slip the guy at the door a $20 or something. Might work.

I have no idea how strict the security is where you're from, but I actually snuck into Mogwai and then Cat Power in consecutive weeks here in Sydney. And I was only 15 yrs old at the time. So just turn up early, scope the venue out. I'm sure there's a way in.

thanks, yeah, well, i'm probably going to go up there just to see if i can get in or not but i've heard they don't really let it slide there... so i just bought tickets to the show in lawrence and i'm gonna make the trek out there on the 11th, plus i'll get to miss school for it so life is looking OK.

Einstein's Theory of Relativity had an interesting side effect. It involved time dialation. Without going into too much detail, time is relative to an observer. This means that it may be possible to age you quickly enough to where you will be old enough to attend the show.
Unfortunately, the typical uni-directional flow of time (space-time) means you will actually be taking the more difficult, albeit not impossible route. Typically, the closer to the speed of light you travel, time begins to slow down (to you). If you reach the speed of light, time will appear to halt. The key here, I believe (and I'm no expert, I assure you.) is to pass the speed of light, hence reversing the flow of time (to you). Time on Earth, relative to you, will then slow down underneath you causing you to age more rapidly relative to observers on Earth. Now, Einstein believed the light barrier could not be breached because it would require an infinite amount of energy, basically the entire amount of energy in the univere. With breakthroughs in Quantum Mechanics, I believe we can work around this barrier. We will require a theoretical force called "negative gravity" to acheive this. The other side of a wormhole may have this. The event horizon within a black hole may have it too. This will be difficult to harvest, but not impossible. Contact me privately for my theory on this. I'm 99.6% certain it will work.

Getting a fake ID card would work, too, I suppose....

I'm 20. So close yet so far away. Cat Power is at The Casbah (San Diego) soon and I can't go either. yet, my boyfriend is old enough and he's going. I'm really mad/jealous/angry. Should I be happy for him or can I wallow in my own self-pitty? ;) I've been a CP fan since I was 13. He doesn't own an album. I tried to get into The Casbah for The Dismemberment Plan and it didnt work, they're hardcore there. Damn it.
