Several folks have written in that they've had problems accessing the Cat Power full album stream when running various versions of Windows. Here are some suggestions to help get that 'ole PC cranking Cat Power jams in no time flat:
- first off, a typical message seen on both windows and macintosh installations is the famous "-3285 Disconnected" message. This seems to appear after Quicktime appears to be connecting, and then fails. While this may have other explanations, it might mean that you're trying to connect from behind a firewall, especially if you're connecting from work. This can mess up the works pretty good, and usually won't work without some tweaking. The following document may help clear things up for you if this applies to you:

- second thing to try is to make sure that you have the most current version of QuickTime (which is free):
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download
The most current version of Internet Explorer (free from www.microsoft.com) also helps reduce problems. The current version as of February 14, 2003 on Windows is version 6, Macintosh is version 5.2.2 (for OS X) or 5.1.6 (for OS 9)
Sometimes a fresh install of Quicktime helps, even if you've installed it previously. Frequently, other windows programs (we won't name names...well ok, Windoze Media Player and RealOne) steal Quicktime's media types. There are a variety of ways to fix this, but the simplest if you're not technically inclined is probably to reinstall the software.
Good luck. You can post a reply here if you still can't make it work and we'll try to help as much as we can.
