Hey - since no one else is up to updating on the latest shows, i'll fill you all in.
#1 - get there early and get up front, cause she's sitting down the whole time.
#2 - at the troubadour in l.a., at least, she didn't play an encore, despite thunderous applause, etc. (until, about ten minutes after the place emptied, the band came back down and played a cover of the white stripes song that goes "i can see you coming down the hall". i'm sure all 30 of us who got to see it thought we were in for a private set, full of fireworks, but that was it. a white stripes cover and out...)
#3 - set list (in random order) - "black black black is all you see", werewolf, american flag, you are free, "billy/learning difficulty", cross bones style, "apartement in london, paris...", i don't blame you, good woman, can i get a witness, kingsport town.
#4 - having seen her five times solo, she definitely seemed on her best behavior with the band - until, of course, the end of her set when the band left and she played piano by herself. you all know the schtick: "puh-puh-puh-puh... can i get more reverb?", near inaudible whispering, cascading the ivories...

she played an hour and seemed pretty fucking proud of herself.
hope she lights it up in your town.
