Tino,
Did you catch Urge Overkill on Sunday night at the Middle East? If so, what were your thoughts?
We drove in from Connecticut to see the show and it was almost an embarassment. I was anticipating this one as I had not seen them since '91 or '92. The first few songs they sounded so sloppy. I'm not sure if Eddie was cocked, but he seemed a liability. They are such a hot band that I was anticipating an amazing evening. There were a few high points, but overall something was amiss. Maybe Blackie on drums would have made a difference. And to think I passed on Super Furry Animals for that one. Balls.

no, I missed it. Never was much for the UO, though. The one time I almost saw them, though, they had GbV opening, and now I wish I'd gone (I didn't know much about GbV in '96, so I passed).
but yeah, Dizzee Rascal (veering back on topic). I'm actually surprised at how much I love it. I didn't think it'd be my speed...

It seems like I can't turn on WRAS Atlanta without hearing DZR.

That's great...
I was thinking tonight as I was listening to DZR, "this kid should be a fucking monster, a superstar, but will US radio pick up on it?"
good to hear that's happening...
