i don't know if this was released prematurely on apples itunes music store or what. but its good. very good.

Unfortunately we have to have iTunes remove it... our regular stores will kill us.

out of curiousity, how do you get the AAC tracks to itunes? does matador rip the files and then send them electronically? or do you snail mail a disc to apple and let them do the rest? or is their a middleman somewhere in the process?

We do it through a partner company called Consolidated Independent in the UK.
We send them hard copies of the CD and artwork and they scan and rip them into AAC using Apple's tools. CI then links directly into our databases for all the associated metadata (everything from release date to personnel to songwriting and publishing credits).
They put the music, artwork and metadata into a package according to Apple's specs, and then push it directly into Apple's servers.
