This is the first (and hopefully last) time that Ol' Dirty Bastard and Stephen Malkmus come up in a search together...

my favorite ODB moment (if i could pick just one) has to be his surprise appearance onstage at a wu-tang show in NYC while a warrant was out for his arrest at the time.

a friend pointed out his AMG bio to me recently, and it's a pretty great read.

that was classic. personally, my favorite is when he was on MTV showing off his food stamps well after his success, and then getting busted a few days later after word got back to welfare authorities.

The AMG write up was truly enjoyable. Thanks for pointing it out. By the way, mad props to AMG for being a great late night source for entertainment.

Back in high school, I listened to hip-hop exclusively save for one band: Pavement

Don't know how or why I even came to hear Pavement... It just happened somehow

I just thought it was strange and a little funny considering Malkmus and ODB seem like polar opposites.
