Hey! My mom's from there. She even went on a date with Rick Nielsen in high school.

But yeah, I've visited before...that place blows.

Rockford has Toad Hall, which used to be one of the best record stores in the world.

My ex-girlfriend lives there. If you're not crazy or an asshole or listen to Bright Eyes and have a big dick, I might hook you two up (I want her to meet someone nice...could YOU be the one?). Remember: I spoiled her with my massive man-tool, so you'd have a lot of expectations to live up to...

I think the city has its charms. First, it spawned Cheap Trick and I saw them play there last summer, which was sort of a religious experience to me (Mel Gibson has his Jesus and I have my Robin Zander...hey, they're both long-haired guys with radical ideas...). And I really like that "Tomorrow's Yesterday" comic book store. And I bought a bunch of cheap bootleg CDs at that used CD store they have.

And Rockford is better than Chicago, which is a fuckin' nest of vipers. A POX ON YOU, CHI-TOWN!!!

I'm a nice guy but I already have a beautiful girlfriend however if she wants to meet some cool nice people there are some shows coming up in Rockford april 3rd and 24th at Bacchus on E. State. These kids are the only cool people in the area in my opinion. And this is not a spam, but she should check out www.scratchandsniffrecords.com. (local Dekalb/Rockford label) I'm Tom and I'll be at both these shows and would be happy to be friendly. There's another show if, she feels like driving, that they're having in Dekalb with Wolf Colonel/Jason Andersen from K on March 13th there's directions on the page. I'll be at that one too.
