Easily one of my favorite albums of alltime. But is it better than Kid A? Some days I think it is, other days I don't.
So, which album do you prefer? Kid A or Cold House. Overall I think Kid A is a better album.

Hood are pretty great. I wonder why it even matters if its better than Kid A. Its not really doing the same thing.
"Sometimes I listen to Echoes by the Rapture and wonder, is it better than Slanted and Enchanted? or is it not?"
seems silly, no?
I'm also of the school that aside from 2 songs, just about anything is better than Kid A.

Actually, Cold House and Kid A have a very similar sound. And they were both released about the same time (Cold House 99', Kid A 00'). That is why I compare them. So it really isn't that silly.

For sure Cold House must be one of the best records made... IMHO much much better than Kid A. When I got Cold House, I ended up listening to it every night in bed with headphones for about a month solid, it's incredible!
Kid A is just a normal, ok album, for me. Not mindblowing or owt.
But I have one of the older, different-sounding Hood records, Structured Disasters, which I don't like one bit. I can't listen to it at all.
I got the new Hood 7" (I guess it's new anywho) and each one has a different photograph stuck on the cover. I picked one with the sea. I am excited about getting home from work now, 'cos I also got that TV On The Radio ep which I ain't heard yet.
Mind you, Hood kind of ruined it for themselves a bit when they played their Cold House stuff in Leeds. People wouldn't shut up when they were playing, and they got a bit stroppy about it and ended up not looking so cool.
- my first post, hooray -
