Very sad, I liked the Dead Milkmen.
always sad to hear news like that.
i just dug up my "big lizard in the backyard" record. i used to be obsessed with it when i was 13 or 14, but didn't follow the band after that. looking at it brings back fond memories.

Patrick's being a wiseguy!
During my brief flirtation with skateboarding in the late 1980s, I had Big Lizard in My Back Yard and Eat Your Paisley in constant rotation on the boombox suspended from a tree in front of my house. I scraped appendages to "Beach Party Vietnam" more times than I'd care to admit.
(edit: I'm not trying to pretend I was cool or whatever. When I wasn't listening to the Dead Milkmen, I was listening to Asia.)

LOL!
That cracks me up. When I wasn't listening to the Dead Milkman, I was listening to Robert Palmer.
Somthing had to give. Punk Rock Girl was such...um, fun.

I'm with Patrick on this one.
Whether you were 3 or 3000, this was a bad, bad band. Perhaps that is a distasteful thing to say after someone has killed themselves, but we're not talking about this guy's worth as a human being (I hope).
and with that in mind, this might not have been a "rock'n'roll suicide" any more or less than it was a "Pennsylvania resident suicide". Ex-novelty rockers have issues in their lives just like everybody else
keep dad away from the fisher-price turntables...
i'm not touching the dead guy stuff.

I'm going to take the middle ground here. It's good having a bit of simple, dumb music in your life.
It's like watching Pi and then settling down with Bio-Dome.

I got a dead milkmen t-shirt for Christmas one year
it was balck with a big white cow face one the front
(w/ x's in it's eyes). My grandma said "that's a pretty
shirt dear", but really she wasn't looking, she was opening
her presents. it was funny.
it's a shame that people off themselves
(though I won't balme them)
I liked the Dead Milkmen.
