A.C. Newman

Can someone at Matador tell us anything more about the A.C. Newman, and its similarities and differences to the New Pornographers, Zumpano, etc. For instance, is it Lo-Fi? (I am so, so excited about this).

Also, I read on the New Pornographers message board that the band is planning a new album for release sometime in 2004. Can anyone at Matador comment on this?
