The two albums they released on Flying Nun under the name Gordons back in the early 80s. The eponymous debut is available on CD (with their first EP as bonus tracks) but the second, Vol 2, was only released on vinyl (and cassette--the first ever FN cassette, BTW) and is long OOP, unfortunately (and no plans to reissue it, according to Flying Nun when I e-mailed them a year or so ago to ask). The Gordons sound is massive and crushing and much more emotional than Bailter Space's detached, robotic throb, IMO.
I certainly agree w/Mr. HCI in that you need that Gordons CD and it would be great if the other stuff was reissued, but you also need some Bailter Space in your life as well. My personal favorites are the Thermos and Tanker/Nelsh records and then The Aim EP and Robot World.
Hey, who doesn't want a little "detached, robotic throb" now and then.
