I noticed the addition of the 7/18 show for Celebrate Brooklyn. The Celebrate Brooklyn website doesn't give any info.

Free outdoor show?
Headliner?
Other bands?

I went to the Celebrate Brooklyn show last summer. It isn't free, but the profit goes to some sort of charity (I forget exactly what). Last year The Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, De La Soul, Hackensaw Boys (who played in between sets and were really cool guys), Kinky, and....ugh... Cake played (didn't see them though cause I left early, rainin' like a bitch)
So I guess we can expect more good sign ons since it was a pretty decent lineup.
My only gripe is with the bandstand. It's and outdoor concave type thing, and the sound really kinda fell flat in the place. There was no energy, maybe due to the aging hipsters occupying the place, although De La Soul got them wavin' their hands in the air.
So I hope he plays some more dates around here in smaller venues, or I might have to make an excuse to visit my bro in Boston to see him there.
