I just saw Cat Power perform at Sasquatch! Festival at the Gorge, and she lip-synched to what she called "The Rap Song;" it was a little girl (it sounded like) rapping about stuff like playing soccer and joining a football team. Does anybody know what it is? It was awesome.
Thanks.

They are smoosh. You can read about them at pattern 25 records, and from there link to KEXP in studio performances.

They're called Smoosh and they're adorable.
That's pretty cool that Cat Power covered them for like a thousand people at Sasquatch.

They're 10 and 12 year old girls that opened for Death Cab. Their 7 year old sister is learning bass to be able to play with the band.
A friend of mine works with their mother who's part Swiss, part Argentinian or something. Apparently, lots of smarts in that family as well.
They're all the fucking rage in the NW.

I didn't think that band was allowed to be mentioned here by name.

I work with the dad (well, not with him but at the UW). Lots of smarts is right. Moms a doc and dads getting PhD. He got me tickets to see his girls open for Presidents of the USA! I get starstruck when he brings them in! I guess the girls got to talk to Cat power when they opened for her.

My friend told me that Eddie Vedder tucked on of them in. Not that I dream of being tucked in by EV, but how fucked up is that?
this thread is weirding me out.
