Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
General Statement:
I love the double disc of Slanted and Enchanted.
They did an awesome job piling up those live cuts.
(This has probably been posted in some thread I didn't read, but...)
I think I read somewhere they are doing it with Crooked Rain as well...

In my opinion, "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain" is the most stunning album in the Pavement catalogue.
I don't know that there's a more pointedly great "indie rock" album out there -- I have loaned this album out to many people, and never once has someone told me that they didn't enjoy it. And hundreds of listens has not exhausted its wondrous goodness, but has greatly enhanced it.
It's certainly their most accessible creation, and being quite the sucker for solid pop/rock music that I am, "CR, CR" is my favorite Pavement album.
