wilco tickets??

thanks again for all the NY tips, booked and ready now. just seen that wilco are playing Radio City on Oct 5th - sold out:( apart from paying $200+ on ebay are there any other places that I could possibly get tickets from??

just keep on trying on ticketmaster. tickets invariably pop up. closer to the date, you'll probably get some folks selling for face value on craigslist. and worst case, just show up day of show. each of these approaches has gotten me into shows that have sold out quickly without paying more than face.

this wilco show has me particularly incensed at ticketmaster. as far as i can tell, most of the floor was reserved for amex gold card members. i was playing the F5 game and got tickets right when they went on sale, and got the front mezzanine. everyone i know got only mezzanine, and mezz seems to be almost all that's on craiglist. but 10 minutes later, i tried using the amex gold option and got row L on the floor. total bullshit. just when you think ticketmassa can't do any worse than charging 25% surcharges, they pull something like this....

PS: a pretty good source tells me that Wilco will be adding a second show very soon but that tickets probably won't go on sale until next week. Stay tuned.. :)

yeah i scored 2nd row seats during the presale this morning. very pleased about that.

i hear the fiery furnaces are opening too. should be interesting seeing them in radio city.

fiery furnaces - it just gets better. sorry to sound like a twat but I'm getting more and more excited about this trip by the day. The only slightly gutting thing is that the wilco gig is the same night as adem in brooklin which would have been cool - gotta support my peeps yo! but he'll survive
