View Full Version : crippled pilgrims
anyone have any clue what ever became of a mid-80's, top-notch, band called Crippled Pilgrims? they recorded for the Dutch East distributed Fountain of Youth label, i believe. an EP and an LP. maybe '84-'85?
other projects? where are they now? etc?

They were a great, great band and I was really disappointed when they split. Unfortunately, I have no idea what happened to any of them other than one of them, bassist Mitch Parker I think, was in a band for a short while called The Mourning Glories and they were excellent as well but never released anything. BTW, there's a new band in NYC that reminds me a bit of them called Aytobach Kreisor. This'll sound weird but take the CP vocal stylings of Jay Moglia and put them over a "stoner rock" musical bed and that's AK. I really like their self-titled debut on Rubric (US home of The Bevis Frond).
Edit: You are correct; they only released the LP and EP though there was an alternate take of one song on the Bouncing Babies compilation (mostly harDCore bands but some other stuff as well, including a hilarious metal song called "Dead Dog" by Government Issue), IIRC.
yeah---those CP record's are long, long gone, i imagine. great they were, indeed. i will have to investigate your recommendation. thanks for the heads up!
Gerard? ever hear of these guys doing anything again? or something?
unrelated: do $urplu$ have any recordings available yet? their website is more cryptic than i can penetrate....
wha?
Was also in Government Issue. But then again so was most of the Metropolitan D.C. area.

sorry, I'm not aware of Dave Callahan's current band having released anything officially. But hopefully that will be resolved someday.
