Pinback - Summer in Abaddon (Touch and Go)

Do not sleep on this album. It is very good. It's a pop-ish record, but still musically advnaced in a way. It's the type of record that musc snobs and "regular" folks can get into. Think about the good Police songs, where they had good grooves, really nice textures of sound, and good melody. It's not gonna change the landscape of music, but is a great listen. Two pennies on the table...

Apparently Eminem's new album Encore (or is it live?...or is it really a follow up?) is out this coming week. Have I fallen so far out of the mainstream I've no idea of a new single? What's goin on? Should I even care?

yeah, I've actually always defended Eminem as talented, but not after this dismal rehash of every other hit song he's released.
