Is anyone else having trouble getting either of the CRCR discs to play on their computers?

Please don't tell me Matador has put the anti-piracy software on their cds. I've already boycotted EMI here in Australia because they do it.
And you know the funny thing is with the EMI albums it's pissed me off so much that I can't get the music on to my Ipod legally, I went and downloaded the two albums instead.
Is it the same in America where the anti-piracy software actually stops you from being able to play the cd's on some brands of stereo's. Here in Australia lots of people are having trouble with these cds playing on different brands of car stereo's. Here are people doing the right thing buying the cd and they get shafted for it, and what do you think the record company's response is..."we are not responsible for manufacturers who do not comply with our technology".

We do not have the anti-piracy thing on our CDs. This is now the norm (especially for major labels) in Continental Europe (not the UK) and Australasia, but nobody does it in the US or Canada.
However, the Pavement CDs are very, very long (packed up to nearly the 80-minute maximum), which may cause some players difficulty.

boy Patrick, you weren't kidding. I've never seen a commercial CD with a run time of 79:59 before.

i think that beatles "1" cd is right up there in running time. at least i remember it being advertised as such when it came out. and i know metallica's "load" was being highly touted for length when it came out, but i think that was 78:59, not 79.
the things you learn working in a record store...
I have a 6 disc changer in my toyota matrix. It has always played anything I have thrown at it, burned or pressed.
It did take it a little while (like 6 or 8 seconds) to "find the groove" (at least on Disc 2) but once it did it it played the sweet lost sounds of the crucial 5.
That's when the killing started...
