Is this a weird joke or the last we're going to hear from Matador? Sounds like a goodbye letter to me....

Sounds like a good-witted attempt to take the piss out of some of the rumors circling the label over the last 13 years. Especially "We're sorry we talked Chavez into breaking up" and "We're sorry we took a big bag of money from a major label and gave most of it to Mark E. Smith."

Yeah, at first I thought it was a goodbye letter.
Does anyone know what the crossed out line is? I don't know why you would. I swear I spent a good twenty seconds last night trying to "see through" the red squiggle, as if that was possible.

Ahh. I went straight to the bb, didn't check the front page.

I thought it was funny. But strange.

Funny. But strange.

That just might be our next ad campaign.

we wouldn't go to so much trouble!

"we're sorry" is our new ad campaign. Back around Yom Kippur time, Chris and Patrick and I sat down and started repenting, big time. Come February, we were STILL repenting, thus our snazzy new ad.

That's ALL you guys have to repent for?

all of that, plus allowing someone to post a subject called "Matador bankrupt" without taking it down right away.

am I the only person who liked "Racially Yours"?

a fascinating, though not entirely well intentioned meditation on race relations in America. While I'm glad it exists, I'm even glader Matador didn't put it out!

phew,
and HAHAHAHAAAAA

Sorry for the fuzz guys and girls.
But it seems to me this campaign is going to work well ;)

It is probably my Dutch paranoid mind that brought me to this interpretation. But now I can go to bed with ease (yes, it is that time already in Amsterdam already)
