The last track on disc 1 skips at around the 1:34 mark. There are no blemishes, there's no dirt, and I've tried a few different players. Anyone else have this prob?
I'd like to establish if it's a widespread pressing error or not before I return it to Amazon for an exchange, otherwise I may end up with another disc that has the same defect.

Not on my disc. And I'm playing it on a relatively cheap CD player.
No problems with my copy.

I wish my copy came, consider yourself lucky

Your problem is probably that it's such a long disc - with the wealth of material, we nearly maxed out the CD spec (maximum 80 minutes of music). This gives some CD players trouble.

I doubt the length of the disc is the problem, since I've never experienced difficulty with CDs that are even longer. Both players I tried it on so far are pretty high-end and they've never given trouble with anything else. Must just be bad copy.
Thanks for the replies.

longer than the physical limit for a CD?

Right to the limit. As Patrick said, the disc is near the max, but not quite. I've made CD-Rs with slightly longer times, they work fine.

Well, the replacment disc plays through fine all the way to the end. Odd... the first copy had no blemishes at all, but the new one has a deep scuff mark 1/4" long. Plays fine, though.

I've had exactly the same problem - twice. I exchanged the first copy at Borders, the second copy is no better. I'm pretty certain it's not a problem with my CD drive. I frequently overburn 80 CD-Rs (so they're about 82-83 minutes), and have never had a problem reading them back. Tried ripping it with EAC, but that didn't work. Looks like I'm going to have to return this copy too. Or is there some way I can get a replacement directly from Matador?

Update on my 'defective' disc 1. I was going to return it this evening, and just to be sure decided to try it out on my old mp3/cd player. And guess what? It worked fine! Tried it on another cd player and it worked there too. So it must be the cd/dvd drive in my computer that's fucking up (I also noticed yesterday that it's not reading dvd-roms anymore, so it might be on its last legs). Anyway, turns out there's no problem with the disc after all. Sorry for ever having doubted you, Matador :)
