We all know that pavement b-sides are just as good, if not better than, regular album tracks. Which do you like?

I'll have to go with "Easily Fooled" from the rattled by la rush single. Just beautiful.

Very close to that would have to be "Westie can Drum" off of Stereo. That song just rocks.

"So Stark (You're a Skyscraper)" from "Trigger Cut." Just lovely; has some of Young's finest, most nuanced drumming.

stare, strings of nashville, so stark(yr a skyscraper),rain ammunition, killing moon = great!!!

and while these are not b-sides-they're not official album tracks, either...you can add Haunt You Down, unseen power of the picket fence, greenlander, watery domestic e.p., and of course The Peel Sessions

so stark you're a skyscraper --> great one. I thought sue me jack was just about as good on that single.

I almost forgot about greenlander. Good call. One of the more prettier pavement songs.

Anyone else like "Harness Your Hopes?" I actually haven't heard the studio version, but I liked what I heard on the Slow Century DVD when they played it live. Is it pretty much the same on CD?

I saw Pavement in '95 maybe in Boston and I just happened to listen to the Triigger Cut single that day and was just so cranked when they played "Sue Me Jack". That's a Spiral song, no? The repeated crowd requests for "Shoot the Singer" were denied.

Harness Your Hopes is great on the single. Just Stephen at his most playful/scrabbleiest.

I like "Raft" alot: You're a nestea splash
Kris-Kraft is also a great song.

Somewhat off topic, but was "Ed Aims" ever recorded other than the Peel Session?

I also like "Mess You Around"

Give it a day - will never ever, ever get old no matter how many times you have it on repeat.
