Most likely not for a good bit. But there might be something interesting coming in the next few months to hold you over. Stay tuned...

I really dig Explosions in the Sky.

yes, Explosions in the Sky are pretty much superlative in that whole subgenre or whatever you want to call it. I love me my Mogwai, that's for sure, but the Those Who Tell The Truth... album by EitS kinda buries all else around it.
Lately, though, they've been falling into the "Rock Action" trap, where, like Mogwai at the time of that album, there's neither rock nor action. Hopefully they'll come back though...
Patrick, no hints as to what this little "something interesting" might be?

Explosions in the Sky is a more consistent band than Mogwai but they never really hit the high points like Mogwai occasionally do.
As far as this genre goes, I really, really love Mono.
But they might have been eclipsed by the forthcoming Red Sparowes album (which features some guys from Isis, Neurosis, and a couple others). Probably the best record of this nature I've ever heard.

I really enjoy listening to EiTS' "The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place", so much so that I listen to it all the time. Haven't had a chance (well, ok I have but have been too busy buying other shit) to pick up any of their other stuff yet, but I will definitely investigate Those Who Tell The Truth as of right now.
Godspeed You Black Emperor are solid, I have UXO (or whatever it's called) and dig it, but haven't explored much of their catalogue outside of that, either. Perhaps because I wasn't entirely sold on them, but I don't think so.
There's some really good Instrumental Melbourne bands around at the moment, Silver Ray (no, NOT Sugar Ray) are probably the most notable but another, smaller act called Colditz Glider are also really good. You won't be able to find any Glider anywhere, but keep your eye's peeled for Silver Ray if you dig that sort of stuff.

In comparison with their other albums, Yanqui UXO is their worst. Definitely listen to the Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada EP and Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven.
