99.1 WHFS - DC's modern rock/alternative/whatever radio station - has gone latin. yet another casualty of the corporate consolidation of the airwaves. i never listen to the radio and it's been about 10 years since i last heard HFS or even looked at its playlist, so it's quite possible it had slipped, but this still makes me sad.

whfs changing formats deprives kids of their korn. i might have stronger feelings about this if i was around the area some seven years ago, but i doubt anyone over the age of 15 will really miss the station.

i suspected as much. i spent a summer in DC ten years, all my fond memories are from back then.

When I lived in DC, HFS wasn't so bad. That was 96-97 period.
