i heard an interesting song by a band called japancakes. "version one" was the song name.
Has anybody heard of them?
and if you have is there any way you could tell me what instruments they use?
thanks

i saw them play a kindercore CMJ showcase once and they were awesome. i wanted to get an album of theirs but never did. nor do i remember it particularly well, as i was pretty hammered at the time. (whether that last fact is the reason behind the rest, who knows.)
i do remember they had a lot of ppl on stage and one guy was playing a lap steel type thing, except it was smaller and on a board. i think it has a name, not sure what though. this is probably of no help - sorry.

i stood outside of the club and considered going in. but i think it was 21-up and the ladyfriend is only 20. or something like that, there was some good reason why we didn't actually enter the club. was this the final night?

no, this was back in '99 actually at this really cool gallery called the threadwaxing space. they were serving fondue and had steve keene (who did the 'wowee zowee' cover) selling his art super cheap. i got two paintings for $7 total, one of them actually still hangs in my living room.
