June 10 for the American contingent? (Why do new releases always come out on Tuesdays? I mean, Friday for film releases makes sense, but why records on Tue?)

Several Mondays in the US are holidays, and some record stores aren't open. To get as much of a given week's worth of album sales tabulated while still making sure all stores were open to sell them, the big release day was moved to Tuesday.
