My fiance and I will be moving to Miami in several months. Can anyone here recommend any cool restaurants, record shops, clubs, etc. in the area? I've been shown around a bit, but it was by my future in-laws, and I don't imagine we'll be hanging out in a lot of the same places.

i was recently in south beach and all the restaurant there were great, except for one who’s name i can’t remember. The Cleveland had great flatbread pizzas...there were no record shops except for a virgin record store which i never visited. Shopping is excellent on; i think it’s called Lincoln, but I really don’t remember. this will all eventually come to me.

Someone please tell me that my record buying options will extend beyond the Virgin Mega-store in South Beach. Please. Good call on not visiting it, by the way.

But yeah, there are some great restaurants there. I'm especially looking forward to checking out some of the cuisine in Little Havana.

They say it's about Joe's Stone Crab which I made the sad mistake of visiting in the first year that it was open out of season.

ohohohohohohohoh! Shit I can't believe I forgot about this place.

It must be the coolest restaurant on earth.

THE TUB - the greatest seafood sandwich and GUMBO you will ever have. Oh the GUMBO!

They have a bar with a pool table on the inside and the rest of it [the majority] is outside on the docks. However what makes the outside so unique is the fact that all around the wooden tables, there is a jungle of plants, toilets and bathtubs – no worries though; there are no flies and everything is very clean.

I am pretty sure this is in the ft. Lauderdale / Hallandale area.

EDIT: I am pretty sure i saw a Joe's Stone Crab around the area I'm talking about.
