Definitely a synth-oriented, krautrock vibe. Maybe a weird hybrid of Can-meets-Kraftwerk.

Either way, it's a fun tune.

Actually, when I first heard it, one of the parts reminded me of the birthday party. Malkmus even gives a little Nick Cave style nervous shriek on one part.

I do enjoy the song, but i can't stop thinking of System of a Down on the " Rising, Rising!" part...
