Gerard, Patrick, et al.....
Can you guys shed some light on the kinds/types of home audio systems you have running at your respective households? I'm not talking about the MP3 player you use at work, I'm talking the mother lode system you decompress with at home after a long day at the office....
Inquiring minds would like to know!!!

Funny you should ask...
At the moment my pride and joy is the Acoustic Solid One, a 110-lb. turntable made in Germany that carries up to 3 arms. I currently am running a Graham 2.2/Shelter 901 combo for modern sounds, and a vintage Ortofon RS-212 arm with an Ortofon GM Classic for older stuff. I plan to mount a mono arm and cartridge on the third mount.
Preamp is a Rogue 99 Magnum tube unit with new old stock tubes... mostly from the 1950s... running a Pass Aleph 3 solid state amplifer
Speakers are the legendarily ugly Spica Angelus coffins, buttressed by two ACI Titan subwoofers. Cabling is Cardas. Power by Audio Magic Stealth.
(No real CD player usage at home - I listen to too many at work.)

...comes from Radio Hut's POT 80 series.
If you want more information, contact your local Radio Hut and they'll be happy to send you a catalog.

The scary part is that he had a picture of it readily available at the office.

you mean if you had a monster like that you wouldn't have a picture of it on your hard drive just in case you needed to show it to strangers on the internet?

I mean it's cool and all. What's next? Wallet sized photos to pass out to the family? "Junior's" got three arms.

That's it! The Spica Angelus, designed by John Bau, circa 1990 or so I'd guess.

Just a couple of GBV questions:
1) Is Earthquake Glue the final title for the new album, and is that the permanent songs on it, or is there still a chance that Pollard will change something?
2) What is the deal with the GBV box set? I've heard rumours of it coming out for a very long time now, but nothing from you guys. What rare songs will be on it? I heard that there was going to be another suitcase, but is that now just going to be used as the rare tracks portion of the box set?

Umm... this doesn't seem to be the right place for that question for people to see the answers. I'll answer it over in the GBV forum.

You're right; this wasn't the best place to see the answers, but I thought it was the best forum to get your attention in.
