I was wondering if anyone has heard the new Weird War and Magnolia Electric Co. If so, what say ye?
Also, how are 'Swearing at Motorists'?

I don't like the studio versions of the songs on the new Magnolia Electric Co, go find a good live bootleg of a recent full band show instead. as for the Weird War, it's a huge step down from the last album.

which means I'll probably think its the album of the year... ;)
huh, I'll reserve judgment until I hear it, but I worry that you could be right.
Nah, he's right this time, tino. It's three or four steps down.

crap... the reason I believed Johansen this time was that he suggested he liked the last one in his phrasing. so starting from that point of agreement, it could be that we just plain agree on weird war.
well, as I said, judgment will be reserved until I hear it...

I like Trials & Errors a tad more than What Comes After The Blues.
Either way, I'm excited as hell to see them next month.

sorta troubadory-rock/folk...guitar and drums. They remind me of mid-period Pavement in places. Number Seven Uptown is excellent, This Flag... bored me. Havent heard Mellow Struggle.
not bad overall. sorry if my description leaves something to be desired.
