any insight into what band or bands will open? last time i saw them philly locals matt pond pa and the frames opened. the former sounded like a goo goo dolls tribute band (in terms of tempo and tone) and the latter were fine until lead singer launched into a painful first verse of jane says. i laughed out loud.
everyone's a critic, right?
my guess is that they could attract some decent bands. i only hope that kingsbury manx don't get paired up with them. the manx have been coupled with sm as well as with clinic, and nothing's done them justice. i spoke with them after their set as openers for clinic and they had a few funny moments with malk. i think they just did a one-off with clinic, but that was almost as weird as discovering that clinic and apples in stereo toured together.
