Hi everyone,
Laura's new album appears to be out in Europe (to my suprise, I found it at my local music store here in Finland last friday). I've been listening to it intensively since then, and I'm glad to say it is a great great record! Highlight of the album is "Bees", an absolutely wonderful song, and so sad and moving performance. It really takes my breathe away. In addition to the "Bees", "Old Downtown" and "Khaki & Corduroy" are my favorites (all 3 are her own compositions).
I wish I could make the trip to England this summer and see her live again but I'm afraid it won't happen. I still remember those lovely two concerts at Borderline in late 2002 I had a pleasure to attend.
BTW, a demo of "Letters" was recorded by Lucinda in a recording session in NYC in 1982, and it is unreleased (I don't know if she ever made another demo version of it). I've a copy of it somewhere, I could upload mp3 of it to somewhere if interested.
