It's beginning to feel like the dog days here, we are hitting 30 degree weather now. I finished school today, and my first exam which went very well. Anyway, while in class I pulled out my Ipod because the teach had left for a few minutes and almost burnt my hand off! The thing was overheating like a mother, and not long ago as I walked home I took it out to see its condition, and the left metallic side of it had lifted off because it seems the glue had liquefied. What the Hell? Now the left side is partially exposed, and I am afraid to turn it on.

I am still under the warranty period, but do you think apple would accept it back for a replacement? I know a lot of my friends do that, like drop it in a puddle, and get the newer versions. However, I am not sure if they change them for superficial reasons, and not electronic troubles even though my battery meter is rarely right. AH!

take it to an Apple store if you have one up there in the Great White North.

they should give you one, no questions asked. exact same thing happened to my lady's iPod.

You're sure it's an iPod and not a coffee mug warmer?
