Bloc Party - what do you think?

I've listened to the album 10+ times so far and still think it's well done, the mixing is amazing as well. I know the reviewers are crazy about it and they've gotten a ton of publicity but now I'm starting to hear people say they're crap. Are these just the people who hop to the other side of the bandwagon when it gets too large? Or am I missing something..

I've always thought they were pretty good but nothing extradonairy. I wouldn't go as far as call them crap though.

I'm not really a fan, I have the album but I just don't listen to it. But I think they've got quite an accomplished sound and perhaps I'll warm to it more in the future.

I put my ipod on shuffle the other day and this song came on, I didn't look to see what it was until it had blown me the fuck away, and it turns out it was "Compliments", the last track on Silent Alarm.

So, who knows...

Banquet is a really catchy song and all but their discography as a whole is unbearably bland.

i think the album is pretty good, at times it gets pretty repetitive, but they were great at sxsw. and i'll be seeing them again as they open for the pixies at merriweather.

yeah that was pretty average last night. though i dunno, i feel like TV performances often disappoint.

seeing em tonight and oddly unexcited, but if they're even nearly as good as they were in february then that'll quickly change.

from the couple of song I have heard I wasn't blown away, they sound good but not great. I guess i should gett he album then complain.
