what do ppl think of this?

i just finished listening to it for the first time, having not really read much about it. (though not for any specific reason.) i dunno, it feels really underdeveloped compared to the last two, which i loved. the production sounds really flat, v dull in spots.

it had some nice moments ("take, take, take" i think) but nothing like the last two. and "blue orchid" is horrible. i'll listen to it more, but it will be climbing uphill.

pretty boring, and I iked all their other albums too. "Red Rain" is pretty good, but that's all I remember liking.

Surprisingly great. I liked Elephant but so many of the songs seem long-winded now. On the other hand, Get Behind Me Satan is fresh and immediate, and the lyrics have an authentic sexuality to them that I can't get enough of.

Key tracks: "Instinct Blues" and "The Denial Twist."

They'll forever be chasing De Stilj in terms of full-on greatness.

Half of the new one is fairly good, the rest feels like the same ol' shit that was done better and fresher on previous albums.

And please someone stop Meg from signing...yeeesh.

I agree. She's so semiotic.

S.K. wrote signing, not singing.

Agreed, though. Meg does sound horribly out of tune on that song. Luckily, it's only 35 seconds long.

I heard the single yesterday, it sounded rather flat and uninteresting.

She's probably a better singer than she is a drummer.

Just sayin'...
