Some areas refer to them as mini bottles, some call them airplane bottles. Essentially, they're 1.75 ounces of alcohol.
South Carolina is a mini bottle state, meaning that all liquor served at all public establishments must come from these. I think it's changing as of Jan 1, 2006. I thought Utah was the same way.

weird. where do they keep all those dang bottles?! this country is crazy. no p2p, no big liquor bottles, lots of guns.

more bottles - more items to tax.
As of last month, SC was still a mini-bottle state. Want a good laugh? Try and order a L.I.T. in SC...

I ordered some shots in Georgia recently and got a strange look from the bartender. He didn't understand "two, three ways."
