anyone give a shit about these guys? i liked their last record and thought it had promise.

Ironically enough, it's due the same day the Broken Social Scene record is due, Oct 4th. Not a smart move in my book. The title (Live It Out) is kinda dumb, but i'm still interested in hearing the rest of the record.

There were a few good songs on it, but it got boring fast.

Salman and I are on the same plane. Emily Haines is babealicious, though.

I read in Fugue Magazine that Metric had an entire album recorded and mastered that died with some label that folded and won't release the rights to it.

Yeah, Metric had an album called Grown Up And Blown Away (i believe that's what it's called) that never was officially released. Their label at the time went under. It's available on Soulseek and places like that, but it's not very good. It's more trip-hoppy and dated.

I think that was an EP before Old World Underground, but I could be wrong. I remember hearing a song of by them called "Grow Up and Blow Away".

i can't wait for both of these albums. metric and bss happen to be two of my favourite bands. i have a thing for canadian music it seems. that whole toronto paper bag/arts n crafts scene gets me going. metric's hardwire is probably my favourite song by them. i always seem to miss their shows though.
