when i saw malk at warsaw, a group of friends and i kept requesting "mighty fine pie" which was a classic from their first pairing with malk. the lead singer acknowledged us, but might have been embarrassed, and consequently pretended not to know the song. i know that they love to open the one-offs, but if the matador art dept is gonna boogie down, at least play the hits!
the kingsbury manx, though pleasant, weren't really a compliment to malk's burgeoning guitar historionics, and sparrow (nee the lapse) did a nice ted leo cover, but overall i'm not crazy about delta 72 leftovers.
he's playing with scene creamers a few times and that would be exciting. do you think ian & co. would care to run it back to the east coast?

Mighty Fine Pie was a landmark moment in my rock n' roll experience. Watching that chick shake what her momma gave her in those Daisy Duke cutoffs was pure bliss!

Goldenboy was announced as the opener. I saw him at an instore back in Nashville and found it kind of boring.

Sort of a disappointment, in my opinion.

I have heard nothing but good shit about Dead Meadow. I wanted to do some press for this show in Houston, but i was informed that Malkmus was not doing interviews, maybe I'll try for Dead Meadow, but yeah I heard that Dead Meadow is amazing, should be fun....
