Cd+dvd?

The B&S artist page lists the new album as a CD+DVD, but the upcoming release page makes no mention of the DVD. I suspect the "CD+DVD" listing is wrong, since I've seen no mention of a DVD anywhere else, but I thought I'd check and see...

Value-add DVD with the first pressing, that's it! It'll have a few songs of the band playing live on the BBC.

The Matador Store says "SUPER LIMITED DELUXE VERSION W/BONUS DVD LIMITED TO THE FIRST 300 MATADOR STORE ORDERS". Does that mean it's only available on the website, or will it be in brick and mortar stores as well. Thanks in advance.

both versions are available for pre-order on CDUniverse, I imagine it will be up to the local record store which version they chose to stock.

Yes, it will be in stores as well, but these are very limited so you might want to check w/your local store and let them know that you would really like to buy one etc.

I pre-ordered the Life Pursuit cd/dvd last Friday. Yesterday, I recieved an email from Insound that gave me the impression that the cd/dvd is "out of print or temporarily unavailable." Also, I saw another post that said that Rough Trade had problem with pressings and that the release date is delayed.

Is the new album still going to be released on Feb. 7 and am I still going be getting the cd/dvd or is there problems with that?

Did anyone else encounter this??

What exactly did the e-mail say? According to my guy at Insound there should have been an e-mail saying that the orders are on hold until the "ship date" or something to that effect.

I ordered the CD/DVD package yesterday via the Matador store, and just got an email saying it has been shipped today. So fingers crossed it may even arrive before the street date. Great service!

Everything got sorted out with the CD/DVD. I recieved an email today saying that it shipped. Prior to that, yesterday I recieved an email from insound after I told them what had happen and they said that everything is fine.

I picked up a copy of the deluxe edition today at my local indie retailer. I was disappointed when I opened the case to see that the liner notes are trimmed crooked, and come close to cutting off the text in places. I was just wondering if this was a problem with all of the packages or if I possibly picked up a defective copy. The album still sounds amazing! Maybe I'm just being too anal.

the packaging is beautiful. my only problem is the girls in the liner notes. they aren't very belle & sebastiany. kinda maxim-ish. just a little too hot.

We did raise this with the band when we got the artwork, but they reiterated to Mark Ohe several times that that's exactly how they wanted it - really really close to the edge, the maximum amount of text per page. Since trims are difficult to control due to tight tolerances, the kind of problem you encountered can happen.

But that's the way it's supposed to be.
