I like Sonic Youth, Pavement, Belle & Sebastian, Laura Cantell, Bearsuit Interpol, Sleater Kinney, The Smiths, British Sea Power, The Fall, Chicks on Speed amongst many others.

I forgot PJ Harvey and Patti Smith, two of the best live performers i've ever seen. And two of the best making music today plus the Eastern Lane and Ladytron i like too.
