has anyone gotten the new Dump album? it's really, really good. I recommend seeking it out, it's worth it.
(for those confused, Dump is James from YLT)

To me, this album succeeds on every level that the YLT fails on. It's diverse with great songs throughout, and the drum machine works well with his music. It's better than "Plea For Tenderness" but I'm still not sure if it's better than "I Can Hear Music" yet. I do know that I like it better than "Summer Sun".
All of the cover songs are incredible. James has a knack for taking soul music and making it his own with a loving touch. And the Thin Lizzy cover rocks.
My favorite track must be "Daily Affirmation". It takes me back to the summer of '95, long summer days spent listening to "Electr-o-Pura" and "the Stars are Insane". Good times. The guitar sound is so raw. And the moment Fontaine comes in on the chorus, it sealed the deal. And compared to "Let's Be Still", I didn't notice this track going on for so long, and I didn't want it to end.
Plus, it has the best cover art of the year!!!!!
Highly recommended.

my favorite song is "Basic Cable," but this is one of the best albums I've heard all year.

"Basic Cable" is probably tied (with "Mr. Too Damn Good") for my second favorite track right now.
Definitely one of the year's best so far.
