The title track is an obvious choice at the offset, but I need to spend more time with the later third of the record.

No image will ever do justice to how striking the album cover looks when you hold it.

This is my favorite Cat Power record so far.

Still haven't heard anything. Bought the seven inch last week but can't play it as i have no record player at this point in time. I have heard rough versons of Love and Comucation and Hate. But going in fresh like this is exciting.

Ok i may go into this futher at a later stage but for now The Moon stands out for me it's so simple and Poatic in a beautiful way. Willie is a classic from the live shows which sounds very soulful and a bit more glam here. The title track is a soild way to kick things of. Her voice really sails but is still contained. After it all and Love and Communication i would add too.

Fave tracks...hmmm, well I guess it will change on an almost daily basis for at least the next week but right now - The Greatest, Empty Shell and the bonus track, is it Up and Gone?

Such a strong album though, easily has the potential to be my favourite Cat Power album. Should be wonderful live with the band.

hard to say. i only just listened to it once on the way to work this morning. other than the title track, "living proof", "the moon" and "love & communication" caught my attention.

After my first listen I would have to say "Lived In Bars" but its such a great album I can listen to it all the way through (like all of Chan's records).

The last two, Moon (heard it live before and loved it), and Lived in Bars are all great (as is the whole album).

Like I said yesterday, new faves spring up each day - last night Where is my Love and Lived in Bars jumped up and bit me on the arse...

Class album, though I don't think I'm surprising any of you guys with that statement!

Roll on London in March...

I would say lived in Bars and Where is my Love? have become favorites of mine. I'm looking forward to hearing it live. Hard to say if it's Chan's best i guess it's just different. Shes never made a LP like this before and thats great. Class is a good word. See you in London!

well i'm not now as me and my Mum moved to London in November and will soon be on the move again. But before that yes i lived in Peterborough for the full 25 years of my life. I haven't changed my location yet on the profile and am not sure how. How are things in the old boro?

So, so mate - it's not exactly the London of East Anglia but I could live in worse places...live bands don't exactly light up the place (though the met lounge still gets some decent bands drop by) but it encourages travel which is no bad thing!

Yeah i kinda have a love/hate type thing with the Met. I'm quite centain i'll never go there again but you can never say for sure.

After it all has a wonderful atmospere, the wissing cool too. It's a relaxing track and it comes across like Chan was really jaming and just had the time of her life recording it. I would say having listerned to the new LP about 9 or 10 times now i love it all and it just seems to get better and better after every play.
