There was a programme on BBC2 last night in Britain called Searching For the Wrong Eyed Jesus. They followed Jim White around the southern United States and because Chan's from Atlanta I wanted to see it. I missed the first fifthteen minutes but what I saw was really good and it had performances and interviews in it with the guy from 16 Horsepower and the Handsome Family (who Im not much into).

The problem is this. At the end a list of the songs used in the programme went up and guess what - our Chan's "Cross Bones Style" was used. I missed this because it was during the first fifthteen minutes. What Id like to know is this - did they interview Chan too and film her perform the song or was it the CD version being used as a soundtrack?

Im sure somebody must have seen it. IM trying to find out because if they did interview her and film her performing the song I want to see if I can get a video of it.

Just to clarify in case anyone was wondering - it was Jim White the gothic country singer/songwriter not Jim White from the Dirty Three.

I liked it. They didnt mention Georgia though (unless it was in the part that I missed). Quite good. Human interest. Maybe a bit slow moving for some people but I liked it.

Weirdish coincidence, I also missed the first 15 or 20 minutes and caught Cat Power in the credits and have been plagued ever since that she featured in it, loved the film though, beautifully shot and loved that duet in the barber's - also thought it was Jim White from Dirty Three but was thinking they were Australian, am I going mad? Guess it doesn't matter as that has been clarified that it's the lesser known? Mr White

Im not really sure either of them are that well known. I supposse Jim White of the Dirty Three inches it since he's worked with Chan, Will Oldham and Bill Callahan... but who knows?

I doubt my granny knows either of them. *laughs*

they should sort it out and agree to use their middle initials to save all this potential confusion, maybe

The version in the film & on the soundtrack is the album version of the song from the Matador release Moon Pix.

Yes abit like having two Paul Thomas Andersons, so one had to add his middle letter to prevent confussion. More useless information there from yours truly.

Two Harry Corbetts too.:)

I think that because they're both indie musicians and given the nature of indie music fans, most people interested in either of them will probably know which is which without being told if you know what I mean:)
