The release was yesterday, and there's nothing new on the site.
Any idea when we'll have something newe there?

I like it. I like the fact that its so easy to navigate. I find with official sites that theres so much flashy shit on there (pointless animations and the like) that you need a phd in computer skills to find what you want.
Good job.:)

What's with sites that automatically start playing music or video? I dislike site designs that incorporate such.

There is an argument against that... I shall refer internally and we'll see what people think.

it is, to say the least, pleasant. loved it! the promo pics could be credited and bigger, tho.
changing subject, would anyone give me a tip about how to change my avatar? the only option i see there is to delete, which i accidentally did.

It was worth the wait. Is a little flashy but in a good way i think. I like the the selection where you can just slip the LP's out of the record box. I felt like reaching out and tourching them. How come it didn't have the first two were they not Matador releases?

No. Dear Sir was on Plain records and Myra Lee was on Steve Shelley's label Smells Like records.:)

It's still a part of her recorded history so should be listed i feel anyway.

I like the idea about the new layout-- flash anim and vintage display are really cool!
I just want to say something that I cant really understand and it's why there are only 'matador' released??? I'm disaccord with this because it would be good put all the discog or if he built the website really cant do that it was nice just a link to the other released. anyway this is the world we are into dot

We're planning to add the non-Matador releases...

regarding sites automatically playing music upon load:
I think its a bad idea. I (and I know others do it too) tend to work/surf with headphones plugged into the computer or music playing on a stereo/boombox in the room. When you load a site and all of a sudden it begins blaring something (no matter how awesome) at you, it takes a moment to adjust, to pause the music on the site (if that's an option), then stop the already-playing background music that the user is listening to, and then going back to the preloaded site music. That's if the user is being generous. As much as its a totally trivial thing, with the internet, seconds count when you're trying to get people interested in you stuff. Its best to give the option of listening to something, and do it obviously. So, say I'm rockin out to something on my stereo or my headphones in the computer, I arrive at the Cat Power: The Greatest site, and there's an obvious "yo! listen to some bizness here!" link. I happily stop what I'm listening to and start the Cat Power. Nothing worse, though, than listening to something and all of a sudden having two competing sounds all up in your ears.
I tend to think its more courteous and effective model to have the option to play once you've arrived, not a play-on-arrival situation that can cause discomfort.
