What's on the DVD?

The DVD has six songs from the record performed live in the BBC studios. There is some between song commentary by various band members too. It is very nice.
The LP is one of the finest LPs we've ever done. 180 gram vinyl, pressed at RTI (widely considered the best pressing plant in the US, for good reason) with a gatefold sleeve.

Since the CD/DVD version is very limited maybe you should buy them both and sort it out later.

Damn you Matador. My experience with limited edition vinyl pressings such as this one is that when they go out of print sveral years after release, you can get an obscene amount of money for them on eBay. So take your time sorting it out if you buy both. My Death to the Pixies 4x10" LP set payed for about 1% of my wedding.

Yeah, I just ordered both. I was kidding really.

Just bought the special DVD edition at Tower for $12.99. I wish I could support the local indie, but I wanted the album ASAP. As I mentioned in another thread, I really think the record's great. Just lovin' it, and the packaging is beautiful, although the Q&A in the liner notes is a bit too precious for my tastes.

this is some of the best packaging I've ever seen for a CD release. you guys should release more CDs in faux-hardbound digipaks.

I concur. Perhaps on the Wowee Zowee re-issue?
