Jerry Hsu shops at my store in San Jose, Ca. That`s some wierd shit, seeing him with Chan. Having met them both I never would have thought it

this is quite a voyeuristic thread. it feels a bit strange looking at pictures of someone elses friends doing something like kareoke who you dont know. these photo blogs are odd concepts. are they designed for the people in the photos or strangers. it just feels like your intruding on someones good time by looking at pictures of them but then they are offering them up on the internet in a exhibitionist fashion as in 'look at my attractive friends having a good time'. hmm i think im looking to deep into it.

Is that Sing Sing as in Sing Sing Studios in Australia where they recorded Moon Pix?

Anyway, I think its nice to see Chan coming out of her shell a bit more and being more confident. Maybe she's been like that for ages but it seems even more prevalent now, what with playing live wearing a dress and showing her legs off and jigging about and not being crippled by self-consciousness. :)

I miss the grungey look though. I hope this white dress she's been wearing for the The Greatest shows doesnt mean that Chan has ditched her oversized footwear, flannels and denim.

you can wear a dress and be rock n roll though like kim gordon when she wears a dress on stage and looks vulnerable then shocks you with her power. i think its kind of like that, an expression of rock n roll confidence power and womanliness

The thing though is that, to me at least, she's always come across as a powerfully feminine person. It's not like she's Peaches.

By no means is she ditching the oversized footwear! When I was talking to her after the first San Francisco show last month she was wearing a pair of high top Addidas that looked to be a good 4 sizes to big for her... There was something oddly cute about it.

Great news. :)

How does she keep them on her feet though?

Funny you ask because I couldn`t help but laugh at how she was walking. She sort of scuffs a bit while picks her feet straight up. It`s a really exagerated movement. Really awkward.

'look at my attractive friends having a good time'.

you pretty much just nailed the vice universe's mantra. it's not exactly snugly tucked away so you're not intruding on anything. they have a whole cast of characters either directly or tangentially connected to the magazine that do the same things on their respective photoblogs. oh attractive and not afraid to tell it like it is! chan's a sharp cookie.

Big boots. :)
This is the grungey look I miss at the moment but as long as she's doing what she wants to do thats good enough for me.

i heard Chan was one of the influences for Marc Jacobs fall winter 06 collection which is very grungey, do i don't think your the only one who appreciates her oversized boots and flannels. but being courted by major fashion labels is bound to make you want to put on a frock or two...
